Shared successes at Agritechnica

AHWI and PRINOTH have celebrated their first shared appearance at Agritechnica, having for the first time showcased together new and innovative solutions in the field of vegetation management. At the newly-designed trade fair stand, new machines were presented to an interested audience, but some of those present simply couldn't wait and bought the vehicles there and then.

What immediately caught the eye was the giant Kangaroo, a biomass harvester, which was developed to harvest timber biomass from standing or lying stocks. Eight of these vehicles, each one consisting of the H 600 mounted head and the BMH 480 carrier unit, provide a comprehensive, ecologically sustainable and environmentally friendly energy supply to a cement works in Namibia, by producing 100,000 tonnes of biomass per year.

One world innovation was presented to the public in the form of the Raptor 800, a crawler tractor. Together with the M 900 mulching rotavator, it represents a completely new generation of AHWI crawler tractors. Driven by power belts and linked via a special four-point lifting gear, the mulcher can be elevated to an extremely high level even under a full load. The system offers a number of options for dealing with every working situation.

Not entirely new but still an important player is the old favourite, the Leitwolf by PRINOTH. A classic snow groomer, it is the silage specialist par excellence. With its specially developed summer tracks it is ideal for all silage work and also other heavy shifting work on difficult terrain, such as the movement of wood chip residues, where there has to be a capacity for climbing and turning.

Also on view in AHWI's three-point linkage offering was the S 700 stump grinder, the M500 mulcher and the hydraulically-powered M450H mulcher.

As part of a press conference, at which presidents Werner Amort (PRINOTH) and Detlef Purschke (AHWI) and also Head of Sales Oskar Schenk (PRINOTH) spoke, a curious audience, consisting of specialist press, customers, partners and the assembled gathering, was given more information about the alliance and the mutual benefits − before everyone went off to pay detailed attention to the vehicles.
